About Us
SAILING FOR ALL PROVINCETOWN INC – dba Sailing4AllPtown and S4AP was founded in 2018 as
a non-profit corporation. It received an IRS determination letter naming it a 501(c)(3) charitable
organization the same year. It was organized exclusively to encourage, develop, promote, and
administer a young adult thru senior inclusive community sailing school that assures access and
opportunity for all by applying the tenets of DEI, integrating the able bodied with the capable
disabled, with a safety-first mentality. S4AP operates using an all-volunteer, member and supporter
donor funding model. It teaches a basic keel-boat curriculum on the water and class as needed.
S4AP had some small test operations from 2019-2023, first with a Sonar 23 ft keel boat and in 2023
it switched to a Rhodes 19 CB, a boat that fits better with Provincetown's 10 ft tide, boat ramp, and
local sailing opportunities. There are no DIY boat hoists for the sailing community, a severe
impediment to accessing the waterway in Provincetown with a small keel boat.
